the world begins with new-born skin

 Happy New Year, friend.

Whether this post finds you knocked down and broken, or rejoicing and victorious: it is time for a beautiful beginning.

Don't waste a single second of your new, glorious, God-given 2017 eaten up with jealousy, self-pity, fear, doubt, or depression. Seek the light, ask for help. Pray, run, fight. And breathe, because you have lungs, and you are so incredibly, vastly loved.

"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"
~ Jeremiah 29:11

My current goals for 2017: Pursue positive thinking, spend time in prayer, and FINISH MY NOVEL. Yes, folks, I have progressed to...Chapter 3. Glory!

(Major shout-out to my sister and her new camera for these Instax photos)

+ What about you? Do you have any goals for 2017?

  3. My goals are to stick with one book 'till it's ready to be published, spend at least 10 minutes every day with God, and take my vitamins. XD All good things.

  5. Happy New Year! My goal is to look after myself, both inside and out. I think that many of us don't do that enough!

(Btw, I know this is a bit random, but the clicky hand doing the rave gesture is so cute. Love it.)

    1. Thanks, Happy New Year to you too! I totally agree. I think a lot of the time we focus on the outside and ignore having a healthy, God-glorifying mindset. I really want to have joy this year!

Aw, thanks! I love adding little quirky details to my blog. :)

  8. YES!!! "And breathe, because you have lungs, and you are so incredibly, vastly loved." I love your heart, Erin, how you seek the Lord in authentic and beautiful ways. I'm with you, as we enter into this new year, because we can't do it alone. Most of all, GOD IS WITH US. Really, that's all we need.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more.
