The Week of All Weeks

**Please excuse the extremely moody and ponderous photograph that is included with this post; I had no greater shot to use but I rather fancy the wildlife in the background.

This week has been the week of all weeks. I normally wouldn't say that about my first week back at school from Spring Break, but something has changed in me that I just love. It's simple, too. This week I've been trying to be more joyful, more thankful. I start my day with a bowl of oatmeal, a conversation with God, and a passage of Scripture. I try to end it the same way. Well, not with the bowl of oatmeal.

I don't know, man, it's been a good week. Though I suppose it's been somewhat average. But I'm realizing that every day can be my new favorite day. Cheesy, but true. Today doesn't have to just be another Friday; it can be a glorious Friday.

"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness". - Lamentations 3:22-23

Each day. Every morning. I'm going to take that literally. Every day that I wake up, every day that my lungs inhale and taste the breath of a fresh morning, I'm going to live. I'm going to live with such zest, such fervor that people are going to look at me and wonder why I'm so crazy excited.

Darn! Now I want a bowl of oatmeal.

  1. Ohhhh, good post! It so true, however cheesy it may sound, that if we live with the thought of serving God and pleasing Him, everyday tasks are no longer mundane! It's so amazing...! =D

Also, I don't find that picture really moody per say,but it tis ponderous...though, I can't find the wildlife??
